I was sick from 2006-2009. I missed the best years of my college life. I was labeled as depressed and anxious. At the time, Dr. Askanase was at NYU. She took me seriously, I marked every box for lupus, she confirmed the ANA test. I was diagnosed. She’s a world renowned rheumatologist for lupus. I believe she is at Columbia now.
