I had a condition while pregnant called Hyperemesis Gravidarum. My OBGYN didn't believe me and she thought it was just morning sickness but my Primary Care Physician, Dr. Macmillan validated me immediately and made me feel very safe and comfortable. He supported me while going through every step required to get the treatment I needed and deserved. As a black woman while pregnant, there's nothing more valuable than feeling safe with your care provider. He doesn't argue when I advocate for myself and gives me any and all tests I deem mandatory. He explains all tests he deems mandatory as well so I'm not in the dark about my care at all. I don't know if he's accepting patients and I don't know if he'll be retiring soon but I do know he deserves to be on this list.
