I had hip dysplasia from a dance injury at 18. I should have gotten a hip replacement then. I went through multiple doctors who would just keep telling me it’s bc I was overweight (which didn’t happen until four years after the injury! So it was an effect not cause) and they just kept fucking my torn hip labrum that kept tearing from the dysplasia. Finally at age 33, I was recommended Dr. Pearson and thank goodness for him. I went in ready to fight for myself like usual and he was calm and receptive and immediately agreed I needed a hip replacement. So knowledgeable and talented and finally made me feel heard. Never mentioned my weight and even offered to do the surgery while I was overweight unlike other doctors who wanted me to lose up to 60 pounds making me smaller than I was in high school. I choose to loose around 25-30 pounds before the surgery and he supported that as well. If you are in Louisiana and in need of a hip surgery go to him. I promise he’s great. Him believing me ch aged my life.
