He ordered an MRI immediately and superseded my PCP in the process. While he remained professional, he was candid in how appalled he was by the lack-luster care I had been receiving and was openly disappointed in his colleague, my PCP. It gave me the push I needed to finally change PCPs and gave me hope that not all doctors are blindly loyal to each other and can hold their colleagues accountable instead of this strange "us vs them" mentality I've seen from many other doctors. The MRI showed exactly the injury he diagnosed me with by the way.
