After 6 painful months of consistent stomach pain being dismissed as everything from anxiety to eating habits, Nicole sat and listened to my concerns/family history that all pointed to my gallbladder. When my HIDA came back with 50% ejection fraction (the requirement for cholecystectomy is usually 35%) the surgeon refused to operate. Nicole fought for me. The surgery worked and my symptoms were immediately relieved. Without Nicole, I would still be in pain.
