Dr. Shinners has been my gynecologist for about 10 years now, and she was the one who originally told me I might be suffering from endometriosis within the first year of me seeing her. I never felt like I had to beg to be listened to. I always got the support I needed. After on and off symptoms for 5 years, she performed my first endo surgery that confirmed I had endometriosis. The ablation surgery didn’t help, but getting the diagnosis from the surgery was a huge step, and having such a supportive doctor who was also my surgeon through these first major stages was so comforting.
