For 2 1/2 yrs I was violently throwing up every single day, multiple times a day. i tried everything, an elimination diet, changed when i ate, went to a gastroenterologist and they did bloodwork and found nothing. my pcp said i probably have gerd and ibs and gave me a prescription antiacid and stopped seeing me. i switched facilities and started seeing Kelly who listened to my symptoms and ordered a stool test (something no other doctor did) and found i had a colon infection that when goes untreated can be deadly. i did 3 courses of antibiotics and are now almost completely symptom free. due to how long i lived with the infection i may always have a sensitive stomach but with her on my care team i always knew i would be heard and taken seriously.
