I was diagnosed with premature ovarian failure around 41-42 years old. I was not offered any treatment, just told I was in menopause. Several years later, around 46ish, I began suffering from what I now know are classic genito-urinary symptoms of menopause. Went to 3 doctors before Dr. Rapkin was finally able to diagnose and treat me. The other doctors said things like, “you’re too young” and “I don’t see anything wrong with you”. Dr. Rapkin actually spent time with me in her office while I was fully clothed (not half naked sitting in stirrups) to discuss my symptoms and how they were impacting my quality of life. I am forever grateful.
