Clinicians Who Care

Dr. Anthis is a provider who truly cares for the whole person. I approached her for help in exploring my chronic pain and suspected autoimmune disorder. She listened carefully to my symptoms and my story, ordered the lab work I asked for, and she made a connection between my trauma history and the symptoms I was experiencing. She told me there is a link between traumatic experiences and autoimmune disorders, espcially in young women. She even recommended a book called “What Happened to You?” that explores trauma-related issues. She is the first doctor I’ve ever had who I would call truly trauma-informed. Beyond that, she is so kind and an excellent doctor. She even sent me a handwritten note in the mail when I graduated college.
