He is the main and most experienced OBGYN surgeon with Sterling Health. He has been performing multiple fertility/sterilization/PMOS(PCOS)/Endometriosis surgeries two times a week for about 40 years and has continued his studies during that time. I (25 at the time of the surgery) have been struggling with Endo and PMOS(PCOS) since I started going through puberty. I had gone though years of treatment and I knew I wanted to get a hysterectomy since I was 18. He was very understanding of my struggles of being intersex and respected me as a non binary person of colour. I had one appointment with him going over my history, what I had done in the past for treatment, if I had tried birth control (I hadn't due to me liking the mental health medication I was on and didn't want to risk having to change it and I wouldn't know how it would interact with other chronic health issues I have), if I had any/wanted any kids, and how long I had been thinking of at the very least getting sterilized. After we talked and discussed, I was scheduled for my partial hysterectomy (I kept my "ovaries" so I wouldn't have to deal with menopause) in less than a month with it being fully covered by my medicaid. I will note, he will advocate for you to keep you ovaries due to the complications with dealing with hormone treatments afterwards but he will go with your decision at the end of the day. We had my pre op a few days before hand and then he performs the surgery at the Saint Joseph hospital down the street. You'll stay overnight and he will come to check on you the morning after for any complications and you'll be set. He did an amazing job. He left me with minimal scaring and they have healed beautifully. One sad thing is that he is apparently planning on retiring within the next year or two (as of July 26th 2026) but he is working tirelessly to train future OBGYN surgeons. He actually had a student shadowing my whole process. I will never give him enough praise and his flowers he deserves for how much he has done for the countless of people he has helped in his many years of practice. If you don't see him, the other OBGYNs in the same building are also amazing. Sterling Health in general is just a really great option if you live in central/eastern KY. They have sliding scales available for low/fixed income, free ride assistance to surrounding counties (wheelchair accessible and baby/car seat included options are available), the have so many community resources and connections at their fingertips that its impressive, many different practices at the main campus in Mount Sterling including inhouse labs and xrays, and the dental and OBGYN office is in the same parking lot. There are very few doctors I do not recommend in their system. They have a very impressive number of doctors and practices they have in network and a satisfying level of care I have recived in the last 5 years I have used their services.
