When you bring a concern up to him and are brave enough to tell him about the research you've done at home, he will not shame you or make you feel foolish. If your research was not credibile or true he will kindly alert you without judgement. If he doesn't know about a certain condition he happily looks into it with you in the room and shares his findings. He goes above and beyond to help his patients. Dr. Nunag is an incredibly supportive doctor and an incredible professional to have on your team. He is the only reason I was able to find a specialist to diagnose my fibromyalgia after 10 years of suffering prior. He is the first doctor (out of many) to BELIEVE my pain and help me find someone in the correct specialty to believe it too. You can pick out the exact specialist you'd like a referral to and if he is able, he will send it over for you. He was able to send a referral to a specialist through Froedtert even though he works through Aurora. Dr. Nunag trusts his patients lived experience and truly remembers the things you tell him. It feels incredible to have a clinician that actually listens and hears you when you speak. He is happy to order bloodwork, additional testing, specialist referalls, or anything else in his power to help his patients. After he tells you his professional opinion on why or why not he would do additional testing/order bloodwork he will ask you what your thoughts are AND actually allow you the autonomy to make the decision about your own care (within reason and limits of course). Having a doctor ask you "what do you think?" and genuinely care about your answer is a godsend after countless professionals dismissing you the moment you walk in the door. He can be hard to get in to but he is worth the wait for the initial appointment. My quality of life is SO much improved and none of my progress would have been possible without Dr. Nunag's help.
