Autoimmune ConditionsChronic IllnessChronic PainComplex Medical CasesRare Disease ExperienceListens & Believes PatientsVal Warner has taken care of me for years. I am extremely medically complex, I have multiple rare diseases, I have multiple autoimmune diseases, my diseases are chronic and progressive and can easily flare up due to a variety of triggers. Val is curious, he genuinely wants to figure out what's going on with you instead of just throwing meds at you and shoving you out the door. He is eager to listen to your symptoms and takes into account what you think might be going on. He is willing to order various testing; labs, scans, etc to try to figure out the cause of your symptoms and how he might be able to better help you. He treats my chronic pain with both medications like opiates, anti-inflammatories, nerve pain meds, gut motility medications, muscle relaxers and physical therapy, he has even mentioned medical Marijuana as a potential option if I'm ever interested to help both my chronic pain and my anxiety. I have treatment resistant depression and he got me referred to a clinic that does Spravato (ketamine) therapy and it's been the only thing in my whole life that I feel has actually helped my depression. I have multiple other conditions that have required specialists for which he referred me to fantastic doctors for each specialty that I needed. As I said I'm very medically complex so I require multiple specialists for my rare diseases and conditions. He is very caring. You can tell that you aren't just another patient to him. He truly cares about me, what's going on in my life, my quality of life, how my treatments are working, and my mental and physical well being. He takes the time needed to take care of me and I've never felt like he was rushing through an appointment to get to the next patient. When I was working he helped me many times with paperwork for intermittent and consecutive FMLA to protect my job while being disabled and needing multiple leaves of absence for hospital stays and now that I am disabled enough that I am unfortunately unable to return to work he has been really great on helping me fill out proper and accurate documentation to apply for disability. He has helped me get many if my complex medical issues diagnosed and treated appropriately. He has helped my get many of my symptoms and chronic pain at a more manageable level so that I have a better quality of life from day to day. I could go on and on about all the great things he does and has done for my medical and mental health as well as helping me to manage my chronic pain and chronic illness symptoms to be at more manageable levels to improve my quality of life. I highly recommend Val Warner, especially if you are medically complex, have rare conditions, have chronic pain, or if you need a curious practitioner who will do everything in his power to figure out what's going on with you medically that other doctors may not have been able to figure out. He's fantastic.
