Clinicians Who Care

Dr. Khianey is incredibly patient, caring, and has the greatest bedside manner of any physician I've ever seen! I joke with my husband that I would ride into battle behind her, because she's the first doctor to ever listen to me. (Not that she has a violent bone in her body.) I've seen her for two unrelated cardiac issues, about ten years apart, and despite changing my name, she remembered me and my case history, and took the time to ask how my life has been, saying she always wondered how things were going for me. The first issue was when she listened and thought to run a series of tests that ultimately revealed I had a common cardiac birth defect that should've been caught in my first 1-2 years of life, but had progressed so bad that open heart surgery was now my only option! The second issue was I needed treatment for POTS, but she doesn't treat POTS. She instead referred me to the best POTS doctor in our area. When I expressed reluctance, due to him being a male doctor, rather than dismiss me, she said she understood. She explained that she has sent several female patients to him for specialty cases, and she has never heard a bad thing about him from any of them. (Turns out, he IS a great doctor!)
