These symptoms went on for years but not to this severity when I came to him. All other doctors did the basic labs and X-rays and said I was fine, stated I had anxiety, to seek therapy or psychiatric care. Mind you, I’m an LMFT for a living. Dr. Aldaoud was kind, validating, asked a lot of questions, and told me that he would take the necessary steps to find out what was going on with me. He started off with the labs per usual on this visit. The visit had already ended when the doctor came back into the room and said, “You know what, I’m going to order an echocardiogram. I think it would be a good ideas to check your heart.” This hunch is what lead me to a path of diagnosis. I was later that week unofficially diagnosed with Pulmonary Arterial Hypertension, moderate. From there, Dr. Aldaoud sent me over to a pulmonologist where they did an RHC, my pressures were severe! I was immediately put on oxygen and medication. I was also later diagnosed with severe sleep apnea and given a CPAP. Dr. Aldaoud and my all my specialists say my condition is rare for someone my age. I was diagnosed at 39 y/o. I was healthy according to all other tests done on me. I’m considered PAH, group 1. Dr.Aldaoud believed me and to this day takes my symptoms seriously. He saved my life.
