Clinicians Who Care

I had been seen by my PCP previously, but I felt brushed off so I let the issue of having a lot of nasal congestion go for a little while longer. Due to my lack of transportation and not wanting to bother anyone, I had a virtual visit but there wasn't a lot the Dr could do but prescribed some nasal spray, which didn't help after a few weeks. I searched for a new Physician and hoped that this time, she would listen to me. She took the time to hear me discuss my issues and when she looked, she was shocked at what she saw. She thought it was a polyp and prescribed several meds but for me to return in 3 weeks. When I returned, there were no changes, so she sent me to and ENT. After a CAT, MRI & PET scans and a biopsy, I was diagnosed with a rare malignant form of cancer called Olfactory Neuro Blastoma. Thank God, it was nonaggressive and curable. After 3 surgeries and 30 sessions of radiation, I am on the mend. If it weren't for Dr. Bayes listening, I don't know where I'd be! She is so awesome and I truly love her!
