She truly listened to me about my concerns regarding a future pregnancy and having narcolepsy. She connected me with experts who agreed I needed to stay on my medication despite my PCP and neurologist refusing to prescribe me my medications. Not having to access my meds would have lead to me not working and becoming disable. She also listened to me about my concerns with having vaginismus and the pain/impact having a child would have on my pelvic floor. She supported my decision to have an elective c-section. I now have an 8 month old who is as healthy as ever while also being able to maintain my career as an NP myself, little to no pelvic floor dysfunction caused by the pregnancy/birth, and now an improved relationship with the medical system while reducing trauma induced feelings.
