I have Endometriosis, and Dr. Pearson at Women's Hospital was the only one who was willing to listen, believe me, and perform a hysterectomy (partial). I was 36 and child free, bleeding out for a year straight, in excruciating pain for over 20 years, and every other doctor refused to provide help beyond birth control, because of the hypothetical children my hypothetical husband might want someday. The first time I went to Dr. Pearson for a pelvic exam, I explained my anxiety due to past traumas, and she was so patient and gentle that I barely knew she was down there, and it was over before I knew it. After the surgery, she noted that it was a good thing we decided to go forward with the hysterectomy, as my uterine cells were pre-cancerous, and it would have been detrimental to delay any longer. I remain forever grateful for her kindness.
