Dr. Ahn is the oncologist who successfully brought me through metastatic melanoma at a time when NIH determined there was only a 15% survival rate. He is a practicing oncologist as well as a research oncologist so he is very knowledgeable about the latest developments in his field. He patiently listened to everything I said during appointments (which always ended with a hug). He considered me an active participant in my care team - he provided facts, information and treatment options, and respected me as the ultimate decision maker in my care. My scans have shown no evidence of disease since November 2017. His knowledge and experience made all the difference in my survival.
