Clinicians Who Care

I went to 4 different podiatrists and an orthopedic surgeons who gave me very little hope of walking again which was devastating to a young college student and athlete. The damage to my ligaments was extensive and several doctors wrote me off as a lost cause and didn't even want to try to help me. I had basically given up after 4 doctors all told me that I was too damaged, and would be in a wheelchair by the time I was 30 regardless of what efforts they took, but my mom pushed me to keep trying in hopes someone could help. The last Podiatrist admitted that he could not help me but told me he knew somebody who could, Dr. Zarutsky. When I thought the remainder of my life would be spent on crutches or in a wheelchair he gave me hope and encouragement that I would at least get better quality of life even though he could not guarantee how things would turn out. He was honest, yet kind, the first doctor I had met on that journey that was confident enough in his expertise to at least try. I walk, run, and exercise with zero pain over a decade later because Dr. Zarutsky gave me a chance when no one else would. I will forever be grateful to him.
