He performed my gender-affirming hysterectomy and was absolutely fantastic throughout the entire process. He listened more than he spoke and was factual and honest about pros and cons without fearmongering. He was patient with me and listened as I talked through my thoughts, fears and hopes regarding my hysterectomy. He answered all my questions and was very accommodating regarding my neurodivergence and gender dysphoria. I chose to go to him because I had been hearing my own patients rave about him for years and having been a patient of his now, I can honestly say he definitely deserves the praise! During my hysterectomy, he took lots of internal photos (with consent!) of the surgical process and went over them with me at one of the post-op appointments. He explained everything he saw while doing the surgery, what exactly he removed and more! I didn't have endometriosis, but he went over the process of what he would do if he found endometriosis during the hysterectomy, and I know he does a lot of endometriosis excision surgeries as well. Dr McNamara was so phenomenal, it almost makes me sad that I'll never need to see him again! He's truly an incredible doctor.
