Chronic IllnessAutoimmune ConditionsNeurological ConditionsMigraine & HeadacheADHD & Neurodivergent FriendlyPatient-Centered CareI was initially seeing the head Doctor of this clinic, however due to a number of visits where I felt my needs were being minimized, I opted to work with Elizabeth Jones as I had heard wonderful things about her provided care from my parents. On the spot, she is an incredibly good listener. She takes time to hear all of your concerns before assessing you physically, and she always remains very knowledgeable about previous medical discussions you've had that pertain to your current concerns. She asks in depth follow up questions in a way that feels non-invasive, but instead reinforces her compassion for your concerns and how to address them. If she doesn't have the answers, she is quick to refer you to a quality specialist provider who will be able to give you a more in-depth assessment regarding your needs (even if they are outside the practice). She ensures a holistic approach with every visit, checking on physical and mental status before concluding each session to ensure your overall health is positive, not simply the things that can be physically measured or inspected. I do struggle with my weight and this is so etching we have discussed in the past, but she addresses it in such a way that doesn't feel condescending or shameful. She addresses this as she does everything, with kindness and in a way that is direct but still very gentle. On other topics like my chronic migraine, she has always sought out updates from me on my condition and what information I've gathered from other members of my care team/my own research to help narrow down the cause and the treatment. She has personally prescribed me with propranolol which has significantly reduced my migraine frequency and intensity to usually only happening during my menstruation whereas before they could come in at any time and become debilitating in a very short time. She has also adjusted my anxiety medication for me to ensure it's continued effectiveness in balancing my mental state. In summary, Ms. Jones has not only been a wonderful physician for me and my family over the past few years, but she has also become some I trust to have my best care plans in mind in everything she does. She has advocated for me, and provided me with care I likely should have received years ago within a much shorter span of time. She listens and she validates every concern you bring to the table. There is truly no one more supportive in the family medicine practice that I have ever met.
