I’m a pharmacist and have known dozens of physicians. Dr. Afridi is hands down the best physician (in any specialty) I’ve ever come across. He listens to patient concerns with patience and empathy and explains his diagnostic approach in a manner that is thorough but easy to understand. He is never judgmental or dismissive and takes the utmost care to answer patient questions and make them feel at ease. His expertise on GI issues is both deep and far ranging and he takes the time to remain up to date on all the latest guidelines, medications and procedures. He treated my son for a serious upper GI bleed that an ER doctor had earlier minimized and mismanaged. On a separate occasion he successfully diagnosed and treated a relatively rare esophageal condition that had plagued him for years. Dr. Afridi is the gold standard of medical care.
