Younger doc who keeps up to date with research. She was the ONLY provider outside of my cystic fibrosis clinic who kept acknowledging my cystic fibrosis and how it could impact my chronic pain. For 20-ish years no rheum or ortho would acknowledge that. I was told I was too young to be in pain, making it up and as I got older they dismissed my pain as age related. Dr Patel was the first to take it seriously. If you are in the Boston area and need to see a rheumatologist I cannot recommend her enough. I told my pulmonologist that she should send all of her patients to Dr Patel for rheum issues.
