I’m not sure where even start! It was all so positive! Leaving my first appointment with him (I’ve since had 4 over the past few months) was a breath of fresh air! Finally someone who took the time to listen with empathy and didn’t write off the mass that’s been slowly growing on foot, as previous ones had. He didn’t interrupt, focused on you as you were taking (and not on a device), asked excellent questions- which showed he was really paying attention to the nuances that I mentioned- and then heard me out when I had queries. He wasn’t distracted, really focused on you, and worked *with* you, on *your* team!! We discussed a plan of action; he was so thorough and grounded. He explained his rationale and why he thought I needed to see another specialist to rule things out, then he proceeded to nicely tell me that he was looking forward to following up afterward, so we could continue working on the plan together, as a team. I brought up some chronic health issues that may have had a hand in the issue I was dealing with, and he was so open to hearing about how it fit in, and what we could do to work with these issues! He expressed concern, gave positive feedback that I had done research, and was overall such an amazingly positive and supportive human!! I later overheard a few nurses talking about how he was the doctor to follow around when you were a new nurse, because he was so excellent in how he interacted with patients, how he cared deeply for them, and would give you the time of day as a newbie, because he valued everyone he interacted with (I fully agreed and wanted to go over and validate that!!). We need more doctors like him!
