I have also struggled with PCP's changing their entire attitude toward me because of the medication I take for GAD/PD/PTSD. So when I moved to the area and was assigned to Dr. Sharp by chance, it was amazing to have him sit there in my establishing care appointment, listen to everything I had to say, document my concerns, my diagnosis, and my wish to have a hysterectomy. He sent multiple referrals the same day, and, without hesitation, agreed to be my medication provider for my anxiety medications, as I was having a lot of difficulty finding a local psychiatrist. I have been seeing him for almost two years now, and not once has he said anything negative about being overweight; he has been my personal cheerleader through my weight loss journey this past year, supported my decision to use an online pharmacy for a GLP-1 medication, and has never tried to push any medical procedure or medication on me, and he completed my ADA request for an accommodation at work. You can tell he is patient-forward; he listens, he really does look to have medical care involve the patient.
