Clinicians Who Care

Dr Tarik has been taking care of me for several years as my GP. When I mentioned my own mother's medical history (she passed from breast cancer, and my aunt had stage 3 ovarian cancer but they caught it in time), he scheduled me for screenings without question, and provides the requisitions for my annual mammograms before I even turned 40. He listens, and takes the time with his patients, so yes you're waiting a while, but you know it's because he will sit and talk with you and listen. He also has been pretty good about not making assumptions based on my weight - he commented on losing weight once, but only once in my years of knowing him. No one knows better than me that losing weight would help, but it's not that simple for everyone, of course. My housemates and I all recommend Dr Tarik for primary care :)
