Clinicians Who Care

I am a person who uses methadone, we get stigmatized so quickly. But I felt heard by Dr. Klemmetsen. She was so compassionate, egalitarian, respectful, empathetic, intelligent and she is funny too. I felt like I mattered to a doctor and heard, being heard is big for methadone users. I have chronic pain, yes methadone is for opioid addicts but it is a great pain medication that is what I use it for. I have acute arthritis and hurt every single day, if it were not for methadone I wouldn't have a job or be able to walk around. I would be on social security and using a scooter.
