My doc, Dr. Carla Jardim, jokes that I’m medically “weird”. She means a complicated history, not routine, a puzzlement sometimes. It’s not an insult; it’s true. And the reason I’m saying this is that she has always taken the time, clearly for all her patients, answers every question, raises great diagnostic questions of her own. Thinks deeply about patient health; an advocate. Always sees the whole patient, never just a constellation of symptoms. She’s the best. All my adjectives about Dr. Jardim are superlatives.
