Clinicians Who Care

I have seen Dr.Kennedy for 16 years! I was her youngest patient by far. When Covid happened I was in remission and quit going to my regular appointments; life happened and we moved away for a season. When I had a really really bad flare her office manager told me she wasn’t seeing new patients and sense it had been over a certain amount of time (2-3 years!) I was considered a new patient! I was DEVASTATED because every other rheumatologist I saw completely blew me off (they didn’t care about my medical history, I got told i was too young, my ANA was negative, and so much more! I cried (like a lot.. I was hurting SO bad and NOTHING helped!) I finally called back to Dr.Kennedy office only to be told the same thing.. she wasn’t accepting new patients… I didn’t cry this time, I stayed calm and told that office manager to go give the Dr my name and ask her if she was willing to accept me… she’s said no. I (as gently as I could) told her “It wasn’t a question, go ask her I’ll wait on the line till you get back” a few minutes go by and she comes back on the phone and said “she has a opening Tuesday at 11, can you make that?” She didn’t have an opening, she gave up some of her lunch time!! She is the absolute best doctor in the world and I could type a novel series on her and how much she has blessed & changed my life and it still wouldn’t be enough!
