EDS / HypermobilityLong COVIDNeurological ConditionsPOTS / DysautonomiaPatient AdvocateThorough & InvestigativeI went through 3 different cardiologists before we finally figured out the my POTS was neurological. When I finally got in to see Dr Miglis at Stanford in the autonomic neurology clinic, everything changed for me. He always went above and beyond for me and even operated as my defacto PCP for a couple years until we were able to get me set up with their Primary Care Clinic. He made sure I got the referrals I needed to manage my care as well as addressing my EDS, POTS, dysautonomia, "neurological weirdness" (which turned out to be greatly affected by a decade long CSF leak we figured out), and various other things while also seeing me in the Stanford Sleep Medicine clinic for the OSA since he covered both clinics. He was ready to admit if he didn't know something, but his depth, breadth, and willingness to expand on his knowledge base always made a huge impact on my care. I also had other friends in the area with EDS and Marfans that saw him and received similar fantastic care. I cannot recommend him more highly if you are struggling in the area and have access to Stanford. I know that during the pandemic he was switching at least some of his focus to the weird neurological aspects of long COVID, but hopefully he is available for the new patients who need him.
