After nearly 15 years of consistent hormonal issues with PCOS and more, I started having severe pain on my right side near my ovaries. Several ultrasounds later, I was referred to Dr. Wakefield’s office for a consult in the findings. He told me in my first visit, after reviewing my history, he thought I had PATSS- Post Ablation Tubal Sterilization Syndrome. He said we can either try some hormones or go straight for a hysterectomy. I said given my inability to adjust well to oral hormone medications, and that I was tired of being in pain and dealing with it, I wanted the hysterectomy. He thought it was the right move and we scheduled it. A month later I was uterus free and so happy he listened to me and helped me figure out what was wrong because he was right, I did have PATSS. Since that first visit and for each after that he has been so kind and caring, and I refer people to him all the time. Very thankful to have been sent to hime for my care. He is now helping treat me for perimenopause and his recommendations have helped me start to feel normal again.
