Dr Stegenga is one of the kindest obgyn’s I’ve been to. She gave zero hesitation when I asked to have to tubes removed. According to charts I’m a single, unmarried woman with no kids. She did not question my motives, she just listened to me and that was enough for her. I knew I never wanted kids and I appreciated her willingness to help me with zero questions asked other than if I was sure. I said yes, and was scheduled two weeks later. No other doctor I’ve been to has shown me the respect she has. When I first started going I expressed my concerns for recent weight gain and she did additional testing on my thyroid and found that I have hypothyroidism, no other doctor cared to test me. She is a great medical professional in an area of Texas where it’s hard to find anyone who respects you especially as a woman.
