EndometriosisHeavy/Painful PeriodsPCOSTrauma-Informed CareADHD & Neurodivergent FriendlyListens & Believes PatientsDr. Evers listened to my problems, took my symptoms and pain seriously, and addressed all of my questions and concerns with compassion, respect and care. I am still getting started on my Endometriosis journey (as it took a long time to diagnose, and I wasn’t taken seriously by many past providers), but he has been such a huge help, gave me lots of options, and helped me choose what path I was most comfortable taking. I feel very in control of my care, and he made me feel very comfortable and cared for! As someone who also has ADHD, I got along with him great and have always wondered if he’s neurodivergent too lol. I was really nervous going to a male gynecologist, as I had never been to one and didn’t know what to think. I was given a glowing recommendation for him from a friend who is also one of his patients, and they were not wrong, he is wonderful! I did not feel he was creepy or unsettling at all. During my first papsmear, the nurse asked me if I wanted her to stay in the room to make me more comfortable, and I said yes. He actually encourages having another female in the room so you’ll feel more comfortable, which I appreciated! Before he touches you, he tells you exactly where he’s going to touch you and asks your permission first, and is extremely polite. It’s obvious he has a lot of trauma informed education, just based on how he treats you, how he talks to you and how he asks questions. He’s also been very knowledgeable about endometriosis, but isn’t afraid to tell you if something is above his level of expertise, and can give you recommendations for specialty care. If you also have endometriosis like me, or just want a good gynecologist who will listen to you, I recommend Dr. Evers!
