Listens & Believes PatientsPatient AdvocateThorough & InvestigativeAfter another clinic waited until the day of my appointment to tell me they were no longer in network with my insurance, I made an appointment with Tammy Tyson at CCHS. She was very honest and said that since I had a normal pap smear in 1/2025, I was not due for another one until 2030. The other clinic I was going to insisted I do yearly exams and refused to renew my birth control without doing a physical exam first. Tammy kindly informed me that this a very outdated practice, and that the new national guideline for women's health is one pap smear every 5 years, as long as the results are normal every time. She also validated that the other clinic cancelling my appointment the day of was incredibly rude & unprofessional. She encouraged me to come back whenever I needed a prescription renewal, no exam would be needed for that. Tammy also said she would cancel my visit with her so that I wouldn't receive a big bill from my insurance for getting a pap smear too early before 2030. Tammy LISTENS and she is honest and extremely ethical. I felt this loving spirit radiating from Tammy and I will be continuing my care with her for as long as I can. What a breath of fresh air.
