While Dr. Afshari quickly realized that my constant body twitching symptoms were not neurological and instead related to my anxiety/ OCD that had gotten out of control, she didn’t give up on me. She took extra labs that helped me determine that I had an MTHFR mutation (which led me to taking methyl B12 daily and lowered my homocysteine leveled) and helped me find the right anxiety medicine for me. I’m so grateful to her for listening to me and taking the time.
