I had one meet-and-greet appointment with Dr. Smeda and she did more for me in one appointment than my previous doctor did in over a decade. Dr. Smeda put me at ease immediately and apologized for how I was treated by my previous doctor. She immediately got a requisition for a whole panel of bloodwork to investigate previous issues I had with ferritin and bilirubin. She also got me a requisition for an ultrasound to look at my liver (due to high bilirubin) and rule out PCOS, endometriosis, and fibroids. When my bloodwork came back again with high bilirubin, she even referred me to the internal medicine doctor in her clinic. I had an appointment with that doctor the following week. It is such a huge relief knowing that Dr. Smeda is actually listening to me and not just brushing off my concerns blaming it all on mental health. She is such a kind person. She truly cares about her patients and will work with you to find answers.
