Natalie Welsch is the most amazing therapist I could ever have asked for. She is a M.Ed., LPC, trauma-informed, LGBTQIA+ ally, who's also experienced with neurodivergent clients. She is currently the Clinical Team Leader at The Harris Center for Mental Health and IDD Northeast location. She was my therapist for over 2 years and she still would be my therapist if I hadn't moved out of state. She helped me overcome severe childhood trauma via Cognitive Processing Therapy (CPT) and helped me become a person I didn't even know I could be. She also provided Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) when we felt it was needed. She listened to me, never judged me, and challenged with tough questions when I needed it. She really cares about her clients and the work she does. If you're anyrhing like me, a queer, traumatized autistic person who's had particularly difficult times being listened to and/or taken seriously, I could not recommend anyone in the world better than Natalie to help. I don't know how many clients she can take as a supervisor, but I can also wholeheartedly recommend any clinicians from the Harris Center. Also they have a sliding scale and because of my economic status, I didn't ever have to pay a dime for my amazing care there.
