Dr. Ahmed (Lagrange Internal Medicine) was recommended to me after an A1C test at my gynecology office indicated I have diabetes. I didn't even know what A1C was at the time, and barely knew anything about diabetes. Dr. Ahmed has taken time to educate me and runs tests of all sorts and explains to me what they mean and how they affect my health. He has helped me go from an A1C of 11.9 when I was diagnosed to 5.8 now. And he fought with my insurance company when they didn't want to cover the Dexcom and medications that I needed. By the way, I have come off of most of the medications now. He is very kind and patient and takes the time to listen and answer questions and takes my concerns seriously. I was so impressed with his care and team that I also switched my husband and father in law to him as their primary care doctor.
