On my first visit to Dr. Obermueller, I had symptoms that indicated possible POTS, a condition I have heard people really struggle to get providers to take seriously. Despite this being my first time expressing concerns to a provider, despite me having an anxiety disorder (which also mirrored some of my symptoms), and despite me being overweight, he took me seriously immediately. He ordered testing, and when the testing wasn’t perfectly aligned with dx criteria, he still acknowledged what was there and my symptoms as very likely being POTS and gave me management strategies. He listened immediately and continued to validate my experience.
