I went into get a referral for a rheumatologist to confirm that if I got hurt at a prospective job, my family's undiagnosed autoimmune/hypermobile condition wouldn't complicate treatment. My symptoms are far less severe than my family members, but I needed to know if I was at a higher risk of injury/death before putting myself in a dangerous job. First time I saw Bonnet he was utterly shocked that none of my previous doctors addressed it. He admitted to not knowing enough on these kind of conditions, but said there was clearly something there. Unfortunately for me he was a traveling PA and was only here for two weeks before my new primary arrived. He ordered tests and left detailed and strongly written notes for my next doctor stating that further investigation is needed. He was great and I miss him.
