They were constantly waived off as being related to my diet (which is a vegetarian one, and I eat very healthy). Nicole actually listened to me and gave me a referral to a gastroenterologist. I was then diagnosed with Crohn's disease. My GI said that I had been suffering for a long time and she's right, I was. It was only thanks to Nicole that I was taken seriously. Additionally, we are in the process of finding an anti-depressant for me that works, and instead of just telling me what I'm going to try, she sits down and asks me what I want out of it. She tells me what medications are contraindicated for anxiety and asks my preference. I really feel like a part of my care. I never feel like she talks down to me. I really appreciate her.
