While it was happening, she consistently checked in to make sure I was okay, and reassured me that we could take breaks at any point if I needed to. She would also pause to explain exactly what she was going to do before proceeding with every step. I have literally never had a provider make me feel so safe before, so it was really impactful to me. She was so kind and gentle when I approached her about requesting options for eating disorder treatment. She really made me feel like a whole person rather than just another patient to deal with. She was the first ever doctor to tell me about Health at Every Size, and took my concerns seriously without mentioning that I should lose weight first. She is overall a wonderful and very informed provider that I would recommend to everyone.
