Dr. Wierzbicki is a compassionate, caring physician with a gentle presence and good bedside manner. He is an excellent listener who doesn’t mind questions and will endeavor to explain things until you have a sound and comfortable understanding of a diagnosis or treatment plan. He works to find several avenues of care to help support his patients. Dr. Wierzbicki cultivates partnerships with his patients because he recognizes there is always something more he can learn and that patients are people, not their diagnoses. My personal experience: Dr. Wierzbicki doesn’t mind if you bring in research you’ve done yourself because you’re trying to figure out what is going on with you or a loved one and no one else is listening. He will review it with you and explain why something does or does not fit with your concerns and he does the investigative work to confirm or redirect a diagnosis. It is because of his approach I finally got a PANS diagnosis and treatment for my son after 7 difficult years. Dr. Wierzbicki has also provided the backbone of support for my sister through her cancer treatments. I believe there are doctors and there are healers and healers are the ones looking to provide any small measure of care, comfort, relief, or aid in their capacity to give even when they are unable to solve the problem. I consider Dr. Wierzbicki a healer.
