She is very thorough, which makes her an excellent diagnostician. She listens and respects my desire to manage my own healthcare as much as possible. She explains every aspect (necessity vs risks) of any proposed treatment or medication. I recently had a medical crisis. Having been traumatized by a previous ER visit, I was resistant to going to the hospital. She agreed to try to treat me on an outpatient basis. She constantly checked in with me, ordered labs for updated status, scheduled follow-up visits, etc.; it was as if I was her only patient. Finally, at 7:30pm, one night, she personally called me and said, "You have to go to the ER." She explained why and called ahead to the hospital. So she listens, but knows when to insist to save her patient. I had never experienced this level of caring, from any provider, ever.
