When we had our baby I was terrified, the black maternal fatality rate kept ringing in my head. As a black woman in a predominately white area I was scared and when a white doctor came in and didn't listen I knew it was bad. Dr Tran came in and listened to my fears. Explained things to me like I was an adult and I think because of her both my baby and I are here, and healthy today.
