The first time I met Dr. Young I asked him to remove my left ovary after over a decade of pain that had become life-altering. He didn’t question my decision or attempt to persuade me otherwise. He listened. I left the office that day with a surgery date, and when the pain became unbearable he prescribed adequate pain medication and moved the surgery up with just one phone call. I went in expecting a fight, which is what I had encountered with almost every OB/GYN in the past. I left relieved and heard. This was 2.5 years ago and I’ve been pain free since the surgery.
